About IGD

The team that gets it, and stays.

For more than 25 years, IGD Solutions has helped nonprofits, associations and businesses make their technology work for them, from our own building in Clarkston, Michigan. We speak plain English, and we’re still here long after launch.

Our mission

IGD Solutions empowers nonprofits, enterprises and mission-driven organizations with reliable technology solutions.

What we value

  • Customer above all
Every decision starts with what your organization needs, not what’s easiest for us.
  • Integrity always
We’ll tell you what we’d build, what we wouldn’t, and why.
  • Communication prevents headaches
You’ll always know where your project stands, in plain English.
  • We don’t micromanage
We hire good people and let them do their jobs.
  • Boring doesn’t work here
We like the problems other teams avoid.

Executive team

Steve Hyer

President and Founder
Ext. 110

Steve founded IGD Solutions in 1999 and has led it through several acquisitions and steady growth since. He insists on two things: plain English, and tying every piece of work back to what it does for the client. His management philosophy is simple: hire good people and let them do their jobs.

Outside IGD, Steve was elected to the Clarkston Community Schools Board of Education in 2001 and served seven years as its president. He has also served on the Michigan Association of School Boards Board of Directors. A FIRST Robotics mentor since 2007, he runs the annual FIRST National Advocacy Conference, which brings students to Capitol Hill to advocate for STEM education. He’s a University of Michigan graduate.

Mary Sesti

Director of Projects
Ext. 113

Mary brings more than 20 years of project management, process improvement and organizational development to IGD. She oversees every project from the first creative conversation to the end of development, explains things without jargon, and trains clients to manage their own content.

Mary grew up in Clarkston and came back to raise her family here. She spent more than a decade in PTA and PTO roles, coached cheer for 18 years and volunteers with local nonprofits. She has also worked with the United States Marine Corps as a civilian liaison, supporting families as their recruits ship to boot camp.
